Quake III: Arena has one of the best existing graphical effects. Even from a distance, you can differentiate various details like facial textures, shadow, or that rocket coming towards you. Despite having only 10 weapons, including the saw and the BFG, the effects produced by them are almost perfect and add surreality to the already impossible scenarios.
